Service

Service is a huge part of my life. Decreasing homelessness in NC is my number one service focus. As a volunteer Project Manager for A Lotta Love, I am dedicated to changing the atmosphere in homeless shelters. Most homeless shelters look like prison barracks. Before a renovation, the rooms lack basic comfort items (like pillows and blankets). We take it a step further by creating spaces that show residents that they are valued - that they matter. We provide sheets, comforters towels, lights, rugs and art. A beautiful room is a sign from me that I respect residents and I hope they find comfort when the world gets too hard.
